Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (MAPA)

Obtain a Complete Picture of Your Blood Pressure

MAPA2
Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (MAPA) is a 24-hour test that records your blood pressure at regular intervals throughout the day and night while you continue your normal activities. This comprehensive assessment provides valuable information that cannot always be captured during a single clinic visit.
Our nursing team will fit you with a small, portable monitor that automatically measures your blood pressure over a 24-hour period. Once the monitoring is complete, the results are reviewed and shared with your healthcare provider to support accurate diagnosis and treatment decisions.

MAPA May Help:

Confirm or rule out high blood pressure (hypertension)
Detect white-coat hypertension (elevated readings in a clinical setting)
Identify masked hypertension (normal clinic readings but elevated readings at home)
Evaluate the effectiveness of blood pressure medication
Assess blood pressure patterns during sleep and daily activities

What to Expect

A nurse will place a blood pressure cuff on your arm and connect it to a portable monitor.
You will wear the device for 24 hours while maintaining your usual routine.
The monitor will automatically record blood pressure readings throughout the day and night.
You will return the device to the clinic the following day for data analysis.
